Oscar-winning actor, self-proclaimed environmentalist, and Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) board member Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted on Feb. 22 riding in an SUV headed to the White House during a visit to Washington, DC:
Hey isn’t that… Leonardo DiCaprio jumping into a black SUV headed for 1600 Penn on Monday? A source spotted the Oscar nominee headed into the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown right around lunch time after what looked like a leisurely stroll (apparently when he’s in town he likes to play tourist) down M Street. About an hour later, DiCaprio and an entourage of about a dozen people (including one camera) exited the glitzy hotel and got into a fleet of vehicles we’re told was headed straight to the White House.
In addition to driving around in SUVs, DiCaprio also enjoys relaxing on motor-driven yachts, such as the $200 million one he borrowed while at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival:
Leo’s abode for the week is motor yacht Rising Sun, custom built in 2004 by Lurssen Yachts and owned by business magnate David Geffen. It reportedly cost $200 million to build and is the 11th largest yacht in the world. It offers accommodation for up to 16 guests, a cinema, a wine cellar and is capable of carrying up to 45 crew members onboard. It also boasts a basketball court which can be transformed into a helipad if necessary.
