Did Musk Make A Business Decision To Leave Trump Council?

post-image

Tesla founder Elon Musk left President Trump’s advisory council yesterday after Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris climate accord.

Musk’s businesses are perhaps the gold standard of a “taxpayer-backed business model,” which may be why he stuck around on the president’s advisory council even after another high profile CEO left months earlier.

With the Paris Climate Accords pushing the world towards renewable energy and requiring a rapid adoption of electric vehicles, Musk’s business ventures have the potential to make substantial money off the deal.
